About me
I most recently served as a merchandise planner on a short term basis at Toys R US Africa,
based in Durban I previously completed my Honours Degree in Marketing Management at
UKZN Westville in 2022, as well as a B.Com Degree with majors in Accounting, Marketing and
Taxation in 2021.
I consider myself to be an extremely hard-working, passionate, friendly and driven individual.
I am dedicated and motivated towards a successful career ahead of me and am eager to learn
new skills and gain experience in the various functions of an organization. I have a total of six
years working experience, majority of it being in the Freight and Logistics sector. I also have
just less than two years of experience in the Retail industry. I enjoy challenging myself in life,
as I would like to try new fields and industries from a career perspective, as well as to learn
something new and different in each sector.
My hobbies include a wide range of activities, such as sport, travelling, technology, shopping,
and fitness. My biggest interest is the automotive world and hopefully landing a major role in
the industry someday. I’ve been a huge car fanatic from a little child. I am also interested in
meeting new people and building strong friendships as well as contacts. I hold my family and
friends close to my heart.
I look forward towards the next phase of my life by commencing in either a marketing, sales,
automotive, or finance position in an organization with the desire to progressively succeed
towards a long, lasting, and successful career. I most recently have been awarded a fully
funded bursary to pursue my MBA studies at Richfield on a part time basis which will
commence from 2025 I feel that I will be the perfect fit in any organization and industry should
I be given the opportunities as well as training necessary to prove myself as well as my valuable
expertise and experience.

Toys R US Africa is one of the leading toy Outlets in the African continents, with 49 stores in South Africa, and 3 stores in other countries on the African Continent. The company’s legal name is Amic Trading (Pty) Ltd and is a separate entity from Toys R US USA. I joined this organization in August 2024 as a Merchandise Planner, taking over the Construction portfolio.
This portfolio entails categories such as Bikes, Junior Wheel Goods, Sports Equipment, Video Game Systems, Portable Electronics, Batteries, Educational Electronics and Construction Toys. These categories entail internationally recognized brands such as LEGO, Playstation, and Nintendo. I worked directly with my category manager / buyer and assistant merchandise planner and reported to my planning manager. I unfortunately had to leave this role as a result of operational restructure reasons.
