Job Description

Salary:

  • R50 000 CTC.

Main Purpose of The Role:

  • The main purpose of the role will be reporting into the Estimates Manager and ensuring that all pricing exercises or estimates for general cargo are completed CargoWise at a high level of professionalism.

Requirements:

  • Matric.
  • B. Com Logistics/Supply Chain Management would be beneficial but not a requirement.
  • Must have a minimum 3 years’ freight forwarding experience, in both air, ocean and road operations.
  • Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in pricing and estimates.
  • Own vehicle a must, driver’s license, ability to travel.

Electives:

  • Understanding of international freight forwarding.
  • Experience in a multi-cultural, multinational operation.

  • Must be fluent in English and Afrikaans, both written and verbal.
  • Advanced Incoterms knowledge.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

  • Pricing for RFP’s, Client Adhoc Quotations, RFQs, and any other pricing related exercises except tenders.
  • Working with the tools provided to deliver consistent, competitive pricing within the agreed KPI’s.
  • Developing bespoke client solutions where this adds value.
  • Following a detailed set of processes & procedures.
  • Developing pricing strategies.
  • Managing internal & external client expectations.
  • Working together with the Sales, CRM, Revenue.
  • Management, and the Pricing Teams.
  • Providing management with information to allow them to make commercial decisions.
  • Quality checking estimates prior to submission to clients if tender related.
  • Assist team cohesiveness.
