Job Description
The Junior Import Controller (Air/Sea) assists in coordinating import shipments, ensuring accurate documentation, and compliance with regulations. This role supports logistics, tracks shipments, and communicates with clients and suppliers for smooth import operations.

Job Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in import/export logistics, preferably in the freight forwarding industry.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Office and logistics software systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and monitor all aspects of the import process, including customs clearance, shipping, and transportation.
- Liaise with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation for customs clearance and compliance with import regulations.
- Track and report on the status of shipments, identifying and resolving any delays or issues.
- Work closely with internal teams, including sales, operations, and finance, to ensure smooth communication and coordination of import activities.
- Manage relationships with suppliers and service providers to negotiate rates and terms for import services.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all import activities.
- Stay up-to-date on import regulations and industry trends to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost savings in the import process.
